Very Well Made But Tricky to Fit : MINI Cooper Genuine Factory OEM 82712149225 Base Roof Rack 2007 - 20112 : mini parts
Well engineered and the kit comes with all tools even a micro torque-wrench for the mounting bolts. Some early reviewers had a problem locating the mounting slots on the guttering but there is now an addendum sheet which covers this. Getting the split tabs into the slots was difficult; I used a lead faced mallet to tap them gently into place as I tightened the bolts. The blanking covers seem to big to cover the slots if you remove the bars but it matters little as I'll not be taking them off (see above). Drop 1 star as the cosmetic covers are a poor fit - one simply wouldn't mate up with the key lock (I had to cut a piece out) and another was very loose even though it is locked in place (I packed it with some foam). Full marks for function though - they're very sturdy.
